Gary B. Homsey serves on numerous civic and legal committees for the benefit of the public good. He was recently recognized by the Oklahoma City University School of Law as the recipient of the Dean's Distinguished Service Award for co-founding the Dean's Advisory Counsel which currently generates substantial annual contributions from its alumni.

Mr. Homsey is a member of the Bishop's Council of Oklahoma City University, which is dedicated to the preservation and contributions to sustain the Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Mr. Homsey is a past member of the Faculty Support Committee of the Kerr Foundation Grant to OCU School of Law.

Mr. Homsey has also been an active member of the Law Alumni Association, the Moot Court Program, the Law Dean Search Committee and the Dean's Development Council.

THE OKLAHOMA APPLESEED CENTER - The Appleseed Foundation, developed at Harvard Law School, lobbies for systemic changes in the government; Homsey's service on the local Appleseed board and its prestigious members are responsible for the recent enactment of the anti-bullying statutes.
